Publishing Content

Most users will not have the ability to publish their own content. Instead, users may submit their content for review, which will place the content in a queue to be reviewed and approved by a member of the Communications staff. To send content for review:

  • Make the changes you need to your piece of content.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page to the "Save As:" field and select Needs Review from the drop-down menu.
  • Click "Save", and you will be redirected to a preview of your page.

Note that the content review queue is reviewed at least once a day, usually at the end of the day, so your submitted content may not appear updated on the public site until then. If your page needs to be updated urgently, send an email to Communications at website@colgate.edu explaining the page you need to be approved.

You may also revert a piece of content to another state after submitting it for review. To change the content back to a Draft or Unpublished state, simply change the state in the "Save As:" field and click "Save".
